11 Weeks Down

Back in September, Kevin left for Arizona for 6 weeks. It was our first experience in almost 5 years of him being away at all other than a night here and there or our own trips to KC without daddy. Those 6 weeks felt like the longest 6 weeks of my life. That was the time that Garrett's ears started acting up every other week, he was diagnosed with asthma, and we spent far too much time in emergency rooms and Drs offices. It was disastrous! So when I realized today that we have almost gotten to double that, I was surprised! I'd say the first 6 weeks of this one were rough...a couple more ear infections, which finally resulted in ear tubes, and many other mini set backs; but the past few weeks here, we have gotten into the swing of things. Weekends seem to come quickly enough, weeks seem to add up a little faster, and the time is moving along. The boys are so used to our almost daily pictures that Garrett now tells me to say cheese.

It is time to start setting mini milestones to get us closer to the end of this thing. So today, here is counting down to Memorial Day. Not only does Memorial Day mean the school year is close to letting out, but it also means that EOGs (the root of my stress at work) are over, and we should, at that point be less than 2 months away to a return!
