School

Well, Ethan started first grade last week. The time between school years seems to be shrinking, as it seems just yesterday that he began Kindergarten and the day before that he started PreK. He seems to have enjoyed the first few days of school, exclaiming that it was "AWESOME" when asked how the day went. After further prodding, he seems to enjoy everything about his day and the only complaint he has is that "She makes us do a bunch of coloring pages." Well Ethan, you may not think it's so awesome once the coloring pages are replaced with story writing and math worksheets. So slow down little man...

And Garrett starts preschool next week! He has been so excited about going to preschool, he talks about it every night at dinner. I think it's the fact that Ethan gets to go to school and this allows him to be a little like his brother. As excited as Garrett is, and as much fun as he will have, I just KNOW that boy will cry his little eyes out when we leave him the first day. Which means that I will cry too! He has been so excited, he has even been packing his backpack. Problem is, when he learns that "bean bean" can't go with him to school, that will make him cry even more than the fact that mommy is dropping him off!
